How does Safeguard DRM work? is it merely based on member login/password or does sit use another form of identification?

Also, can I cancel or change a subscribers privileges once the account is approved?

ArtistScope, the developers of ASPS, introduced back-to-home user validation many years ago. Other DRM providers of the time claimed that it was impossible, that is, until a couple of years later when they finally worked out how to do it. That pretty much says it all.

SafeGuard Mail DRM is different to most as it can afford to be. For instance most DRM relies on username/password identification. But passwords can be shared. Some DRM uses MAC address provided by a user's router/modem. But MAC addresses changes with each type of connection such as modem, LAN or WiFi. If a uses uses WiFi hotspots or moves their device from work to home the MAC address will change. Using IP address for user identification is useless unless the user has a fixed IP address which is not possible with most Internet Service Providers (ISPs). Another popular DRM method was the deployment of token files which a user could download. But once installed, the service no longer had control over who could use that token and could not revoke it.

But with SafeGuard Mail DRM each user is identified by a unique identifier provided by the ArtisBrowser. So it doesn't matter if the Internet connection or IP address changes. Also, authors and team managers can allow one or more devices per account and also restrict which type of device is allowed access. But the big plus is that SafeGuard Mail DRM is live... any changes to user or media permissions will take immediate effect.
